The Cosmic Byte Starforge is Cosmic Byte's flagship tri-mode gamepad for PC, Android and iOS. Its TMR joystick modules can be swapped for four tension levels, the triggers are optical with trigger locks, and it adds four programmable back buttons, HD voice coil vibration, gyro, RGB and a 1200mAh battery.

Before you buy

  • Not supported on PS4, PS5 or Xbox. The manual does not list Nintendo Switch as a supported platform.
  • On iOS it works only with MFi-supported games, via Bluetooth.
  • D-Input mode switching is available in wired mode only.
  • The alternative joystick modules, puller and screwdriver are in the box; do not return it thinking parts are missing.

1. Can I change the joystick tension?

Yes. The TMR joystick modules are replaceable, with 60gf, 70gf, 120gf and 150gf options, and a puller and screwdriver are included.

2. Does it work with PS5 or Nintendo Switch?

No. Cosmic Byte lists PC, Android and iOS support; PlayStation and Xbox are not supported and Switch is not listed.

3. How long does the battery last?

The 1200mAh battery is rated for 10 to 12 hours and charges in 3 to 4 hours.

4. What kind of triggers does it have?

Optical triggers with two-level trigger locks for short digital-style presses or full analog travel.

5. What is the warranty?

1 year against manufacturing defects from Cosmic Byte.
