The 2025 sequel picks up where the first game left off and covers three full arcs: Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training. CyberConnect2 rebuilt the versus side too, so this is a bigger fighting game than its predecessor rather than a reskin.
Story Mode
Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc and Hashira Training Arc, played out through the same mix of exploration, side events and set piece boss fights that made the first game work.
Versus Mode
Over 40 playable characters at launch, including all nine Hashira. New for this entry are Dual Ultimates, paired team ultimate attacks, plus a Gear system that was not in the original.
