Compatibility, check this carefully

Your case needs seven bridgeless expansion slots. Bridgeless means there are no metal bars between the slots once the covers are removed. Cases with individual punched out slot covers will not work.

Flex 2 versus the older VRC-25

Both are complete kits, not just a cable. The Flex 2 is PCIe 4.0 with a 195mm cable and up to 4 slot clearance. The VRC-25 was PCIe 3.0 with a 210mm cable and 2.5 slot clearance, and is discontinued. Given how thick current high end graphics cards are, the 4 slot clearance is the practical difference that matters.
