Fractal Design Torrent Black TG Light Tint E-ATX Mid Tower Cabinet

The Torrent moves the power supply to the top of the case, which turns the entire floor into an intake plenum. Three 140mm fans sit in that base firing straight up at the graphics card, and two 180mm fans sit behind the open front grille. Five fans, all of them large, all of them intake. This is the airflow case other airflow cases get compared against.

Why the top mounted PSU matters

With the PSU out of the basement there is no shroud blocking the floor, no cable clutter under the motherboard, and nothing between the base fans and your GPU. It is the single design decision the whole case is built around.

The fans

Two 180 x 38mm Dynamic X2 GP-18 PWM at the front, three 140mm Dynamic X2 GP-14 PWM in the base. The 180mm units are a thick Fractal specific format, not a commodity size, so plan replacements accordingly. A Nexus 9P Slim PWM hub is pre installed to run them all from one header.

Dust filters are optional on purpose

Nylon filters for the front and base are supplied in the box rather than fixed in place. Fit them for dust protection or leave them out for maximum airflow. Your call.
