Why the NP5 is the better cooler than the NC range
The NC3 and NC5 are Intel only, unrated for TDP and carry no published warranty. The NP5 supports AMD as well, is rated to 200W, carries a 3 year warranty, is quieter at 28 dB(A) against 31.5, and moves more air at 62 CFM against 52.8. It also has full RAM clearance. If you are choosing between them, this is the one.
The -B suffix means non RGB, not just black. The NP5-BA is the same cooler with an ARGB fan. Both are black.
