FSP Twins PRO 500W 80 PLUS Gold 1+1 Redundant Hot Swap Server PSU

The FSP Twins PRO 500W is a 1+1 redundant power supply for servers and NAS builds. Two hot swappable 500W modules sit in one PS2 sized cage. If one module fails the other carries the full load with no interruption, and the failed module can be pulled and replaced while the machine keeps running.

This is a server part, not a gaming PSU

Read this before ordering. Redundant supplies use 40mm fans running at high speed. They are loud, considerably louder than any desktop PSU, and that is by design because they live in server rooms. Do not put one in a machine that sits on a desk.

It also needs a chassis that accepts a PS2 redundant cage. It will not drop into a normal ATX case in place of a standard supply.

Buy this for a rack server, a business NAS, or any machine where an unplanned power supply failure is more expensive than the noise is annoying. For a gaming or workstation build, the Hydro G PRO or VITA GM lines are what you want.
