Gigabyte B850M Gaming X DDR5 WiFi6E AMD AM5 Micro ATX Motherboard

A Micro ATX B850 board that does not compromise on the two things that usually get cut at this size: it has a full PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot and a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, both wired straight to the CPU. The VRM is a 10 plus 2 plus 2 digital design with 60A DrMOS stages, which is over built for the segment and means a Ryzen 9 will not throttle on power delivery.

Memory

Four DDR5 slots, dual channel, up to 256GB with 64GB per DIMM, rated to DDR5-8200 overclocked. AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles are both supported, so a one click memory profile is all most builds need.

Storage

Two M.2 slots. The first runs PCIe 5.0 x4 off the CPU, the second PCIe 4.0 x4. Both use EZ-Latch tool free retention, so no tiny screws. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports alongside.

Display and networking

HDMI 2.1 plus two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, all three usable at once with an APU or iGPU. Realtek 2.5 Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 6E on the 6GHz band via Realtek RTL8852CE, and Bluetooth 5.3.

Q-Flash Plus

Flash a newer BIOS with no CPU, no memory and no graphics card installed. If you buy a board that predates your Ryzen chip, this is what saves the build.
