HYTE SPF Solid Processor Frame LGA1851 Black

Intel's stock independent loading mechanism bends the CPU. The HYTE Solid Processor Frame replaces it with a flat machined aluminium frame that holds the processor without the centre pressure that causes the bow, so the cooler cold plate meets more of the heat spreader. Typical result is a few degrees lower under sustained load, with the biggest gain on high wattage chips.

Installation

The stock Intel ILM unscrews and the SPF drops into its place. The included L-wrench is the only tool you need. HYTE supplies 2g of Thermal Goop so you can remount the cooler in the same sitting.

Before you buy: This is LGA1851 only. It will not fit LGA1700 or AM5, HYTE sells separate frames for those. Replacing the ILM is a permanent modification to how the socket clamps and may affect your motherboard warranty. Fit it carefully, an overtightened frame is worse than the stock one.
