An H pattern shifter with seven forward gears and reverse, machined from CNC anodised aviation grade aluminium. It uses a 15 bit non contact angle sensor rather than microswitches, so there is nothing inside to wear out or start missing gears.
Key specifications
- Pattern: H pattern, 7 forward gears plus reverse
- Sensor: 15 bit non contact angle sensor
- Construction: CNC anodised aviation grade aluminium
- Dimensions: 100 x 140 x 250mm
- Weight: 1.8kg
- Connection: USB directly to PC, or RJ11 to a MOZA wheelbase
- Platform: PC only
It works without a MOZA base
This shifter connects straight to a PC over USB. You do not need a MOZA wheelbase to use it, which makes it a reasonable buy alongside a Logitech or Thrustmaster wheel as well. The RJ11 connection to a MOZA base is an alternative, not a requirement.
Why non contact sensing matters
Traditional shifters use microswitches that click closed when the lever reaches a gate. Those switches wear, and after enough shifts they start to miss. A non contact angle sensor reads lever position magnetically with nothing touching, so the shifter behaves the same after years of use as it did new.
H pattern or sequential
H pattern is what you want for classic cars, road cars and rally. Sequential is what modern race cars and touring cars use. MOZA's SGP is the sequential option. Many people eventually own both.
Platform: PC only. No Xbox or PlayStation support.
