MP33 PRO is a different drive from the MP33

The plain MP33 256GB reads at 1600 MB/s. This MP33 PRO reads at 3400. Despite the similar names they are not the same product with different capacities, they are different drives. If a comparison or a review mentions one, check which.

Gen3 at its limit

3400/2600 is what PCIe Gen3 x4 can deliver. A Gen4 drive will read at 5000 to 7000. Whether that matters depends entirely on what you do: for gaming and general use the difference is close to imperceptible, for large file work it is real.

This drive works in a Gen4 slot, just at Gen3 speeds. If your board is Gen3 only, you lose nothing by buying Gen3.

No DRAM cache. Sustained heavy writes will slow once the SLC cache fills. Normal use will not reach that.
