Why CL30 rather than CL38

At the same 6000MHz clock, CL30 means the memory responds in 30 cycles rather than 38. That is roughly a 20 percent reduction in latency for the same bandwidth, and it is the single most quoted memory specification for Ryzen builds because AMD's chiplet design is unusually sensitive to memory latency.

In practice, 6000 CL30 against 6000 CL38 is worth a few percent in games. Whether that justifies the price difference depends on what you are paying.

Note the 1.35V. CL30 needs more voltage than the CL38 bin, which runs at 1.25V. That is normal for a tighter timing bin and is within DDR5's safe operating range, but it does mean marginally more heat.
