Why 3600 on Ryzen
Ryzen 3000 and 5000 processors run their Infinity Fabric interconnect at half the memory clock, and 3600MHz puts the fabric at its sweet spot of 1800MHz in a 1:1 ratio. Going faster than 3600 usually breaks that ratio and makes things slower. Going slower leaves performance on the table.
If you are building on Ryzen 3000 or 5000, 3600 is the number to aim for, not the highest one you can afford.
One module. Two are needed for dual channel, which matters more on Ryzen than most platforms.
